We are fortunate to have the South West Coast Path just up the road from Looe Yurts. You can meander for miles along the coast taking in the superb sea views and finding hidden coves and beaches. Strike off to the east and you will come to Millendreath beach and then on to the dog friendly beach at Seaton where you will find a cafe right on the sand. Alternatively, strike off to the west and you will soon be walking along the wide sandy family beach at Looe where you will find cafes selling cream teas, lunches and snacks to refresh you for your walk on to Hannafore Beach, Talland Bay and Polperro. Walking on from Polperro will bring you to the hidden cove at Lanivet, a small and secluded beach. Further to the east along the coast is the magnificent expanse of Whitsand Bay, quiet and unspoilt. For most Whitsand Bay is too far to walk, but it is only a short car journey away. Access to the beach can be steep in places but the lovely sandy beach is well worth the effort. Boat TripsFrom the quay at Looe you can take a fishing trip or a glass-bottomed boat trip around Looe Bay and Looe Island. Boat trips also run from the harbour in Polperro. |
